Dave commented that ConZealand had complaints about being on New Zealand time.

Dave = Tomorrow is election day. American citizens 18 and over and have not yet voted, you should vote tomorrow.

A new line of New Zealand Super Rugby Hawaiian Shirts are available.

Howierd = Climate has not changed in Las Vegas since March. No trace of rain. Broke record of no rain, but an 11% chance was in the forecast. Saw some clouds, but no water…

Friends in Washington (state) mentioned that the legislature passed a law to stay on Daylight Saving Time, however an act of congress is needed to make it happen.

Gayle = Thanks to those who referred her to a tax professional. Did a zoom meeting while on an exercise ball. It was very comfortable.

Todd = Virtual Tea festival this weekend. https://intlvirtualteafest.pathable.co/

JohnO = Chris has been sick since most of the year. This Friday morning she will have a procedure to de-gunk and biopsy her lungs. Semi-outpatient procedure.

Reviews

Todd
Watched Parasite. Quite enjoyed it. Scary and humorous in parts. Good Halloween film.

JohnO
Watched the Disney film Dinosaur (2000) not their best, not their worst. Fun romp. Worth seeing on D+ (maybe matinee)
The Mandalorian season 2. Continues the western in space theme. First episode didn’t move to plot far, but lays groundwork. Worth watching. Quality is still high.
Correction to Lois McMaster Bujold’s “Masquearde of Lodi” review from last week. Highly recommend. Middle of the series chronologically. Stand alone, but needs some background on the series.

Lisa
WisDems did Rocky Horror Show (not Picture) with Nell Campbell & Tim Curry involved, plus a bunch of other notables. More disjointed, than Princess Bride with pre-recorded pieces. Fun. Worth the donation ($5)
JohnO: Tenacious D also released Rock-y-the-Vote. Jump to the left, no step to the right. Included Susan Sarandon & Barry Bostwick, plus Mayor Pete and Senator Warren. And others… it’s on YouTube.

Gerald
Watched Star Trek: Beyond on CBS. Pluses: Actors playing the characters sometimes sounded like the originals. Minuses: cinematography was too dark (hard to see whats going on). Suspension of disbelief was set to high. Uhura has some great action. Worth free TV, or a couple dollars for the disc.
Texas state senator Wendy Davis, who filibustered for 16 hours, is running for congress. She was in the Biden bus that was ambushed in Texas. Davis has not referenced this incident in her campaign.
JohnO: Theory is do not acknowledge what they did removes the power of the intimidation.
Lisa: The word from the staffers, no one was hurt. Car was crunched. Attitude is not to dwell on in.

Rumor of the Week: Many will spend the next 5 days drunk to avoid election stress.
