ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Gerry announced that Volkswagon's new electric car will be a Voltswagen.
[https://thehill.com/policy/transportation/automobiles/545436-volkswagen-accidentally-posts-new-company-name-to-website] Gerry's opinion was that the 'leak' in the link he gave is an effort to overcome buyer resistance over electric technology.
Howeird announced that his New filk called "Make You Wear Your Mask", To the tune of Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love' is available on https://youtu.be/a-uEfDpIwpM
REVIEWS:
Valerie reviewed 'First Contact' by Evan Mandery as delightful
John O reviewed catching a SpaceX launch live by accident as worth staying up late in the A.M. to view & commented that the presenters are not very talkative, but it's worth tuning in to watch
Yochanan reviewed 'The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume One' with short stories in it from 1934 to 1964, as recommended and he is very much enjoying the stories. He also reviewed his vacation as he has been having fun & had a guided tour to 'The Hidden Gardens' in the Fresno area - that was made with only hand-tools - as he very much enjoyed it & there is a book about it called 'Underground Gardens' by Baldasare Forestiere; for more info check = undergroundgardens.com
Ken reviewed Heroes & Icons, an American digital broadcast television network as it's primarily carried on the digital subchannels of affiliated television stations. It primarily airs classic TV series from the 1950s through the 2000s, with a focus on action/adventure, westerns, crime dramas, sci-fi & superhero programming, check = https://www.ontvtonight.com/guide/listings/channel/1295778387/heroes-icons.html
Howeird reviewed Corel's VideoStudio 2021 that began as a suite of applications that does quite decent video editing & he recommends it as definitely worth the renewal price and possibly worth full price overall
Lisa reviewed getting her 2nd Covid shot and is having no major reactions & there was much rejoicing, she had it at the Kaiser in Redwood City as very well set up and quick to go thru; Chris O followed and agreed completely with Lisa's review of both the shot & the Kaiser experience
we adjourned at 8:38 pm
and the rumor of the week = 'the Ever Given crew shouted "let my cargo go" and it was released from Egypt on Passover'
