Howierd = LA football game had 35 min lightning delay. Rare. Oddly, the broadcasters were allowed to stay on field.
Rick = Another backyard party in West Menlo. This Sunday, October 10, 4 p.m. Announcement coming to the mail list.
Yochanan = Ren Faire at Casa de Fruita is still going on. He’ll be there on Sunday
Reviews
Yochanan = Squid Game (Netflix) Korean. (subbed and/or dubbed) Drama/thriller Intense. Violent. So binge-able. Very interesting, twists and turns. Interesting characters. Kids games, but losers die.
Duncan: Binge-able world wide. Must be laced with the internet form of crack.
JohnO: S.Korean ISP is trying to charge Netflix for the bandwidth from streaming into Korea.
Save Yourselves! (Hulu) quaint little Sci-Fi. Couple getting away from it all when an alien invasion happens, and they don’t know it happened. Little disappointed. Failed on execution. Didn’t love it. Thumbs sideways. Save yourselves the time…
JohnO = Went to Disneyland. Fun, relaxing. Yet exhausted. Avengers campus is an “open house” day, with Avengers wandering about (soc-dist). Impressive animatronics/robotics. Two paws up. Disneyphiles go as many days as you can. Stayed off-site. The Disney hotels are very expensive (5-700 for basic)
La Brea (NBC) Watched on DVR, cancelled series recording. At least three scenes where the stupid burns so bad. Interesting premise. Sinkhole in the La Brea area of LA. People fall in. Don’t watch it. Not worth the time.
Rick = Foundation (?TV+) Third episode is the first that shows they may not know what they are doing (and the budget has slipped). Maybe an interesting and gorgeous train wreck.
Duncan: Looks great in 4K and big screen
Craig: only first episode. Enjoyed it. Wasn’t amazing.
Howierd = Got his Phizer booster shot. Second shot KOed him for three days, this time only a day and a half, but arm more sore. Little lightheadedness. Props to the pharmacist.
Rumor of the Week: Disappointment requires adequate preparation.
