REVIEWS:
Yochanan reviewed 'Stranger Things, Season 4' as interesting & much longer episodes than has been the case before & he recommends watching the episodes back-to-back. John O followed, saying there are other, also extended length episodes coming out in about a month;
& Yochanan reviewed a book: 'Jim Henson, The Works' as expensive but full of illustrations & lavish photographs, written in 1993;
then he reviewed 'Jurassic Park - Dominion' as not as bad as some reviews he has read - more of an action movie than sci fi, but not as good as the prior movies. He liked it, but it was long & seeing dinosaurs in the 'real world' was not magical for him. Worth matinee if you loved the other movies;
& he also reviewed a Vietnamese film = 'Miaka - the Girl From Another Galaxy', in Vietnamese with subtitles as extremely cute & endearing & he left the theatre smiling. He highly recommends it as worth full price

Lisa reviewed 'A Master of Djinn' by P Djeli Clark as really, really interesting = steam-punk Egyptian fantasy & the world created is fun, she enjoyed it & is waiting for the next in the series
Valerie reviewed 'Ballad & Dagger' (Outlaw Saints #1) by Daniel José Older as the best Sephardic Caribbean Pirate magic world YA novel she's ever read;
& she reviewed 'Summer in Orcus' by T. Kingfisher as a sweet & enjoyable fantasy novel;
she also reviewed 'Nettle and Bone' by T. Kingfisher as quite impressive;
and the reviewed 'Kaikeyi' by Patel as decent, another myth retold by the villainess
John O reviewed Silicon doing a workshop with Adam Savage, as it went very well and they should be doing one next year, highly recommended. He says it cost about $50, but all the materials were supplied pre-cut
Silicon featuring Adam Savage workshops: https://siliconsj.com/virtual-workshops/
we adjourned at 8:40 pm
and the rumor of the week was = "Sephardic Caribbean Pirates" will be the name of Valerie's next garage band
