REVIEWS:

Rick reviewed much of the 'House of the Dragon' as it is being done well & the penultimate episode has been shown, with the last episode airing this next week

Sandra reviewed Philip K Dick's 'Electric Dreams' as she recommends it, thinks it's well-acted & says it's being offered for free right now

Gerry reviewed a Duluth Trading Company vest as very comfortable. It's light & has tons of pockets on the out & inside - very highly recommended. Duncan really likes vests & recommends looking around and buying a vest that will accommodate what you want to carry in them & Candy likes vests, but finds them heavy to wear constantly at a convention

Lisa reviewed the Amazon Prime 'Rings of Power' - as she has seen the first episode & thinks it's interesting, but disjointed. She thinks the look is good & they aren't 'mangling the source material too badly' & is looking forward to seeing the rest of it. John O followed that there are complaints about there being spoilers for the show being given, which he finds ironic

Sandra reviewed 'the Northman' - free on Amazon Prime - as violent & gritty & a very scenic movie - with similarities to 'Hamlet'

Kennita reviewed 'Under the Shadow' seen in Persian with English subtitles, as an Iranian horror movie with a 99% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes. She found it very different from how an American horror movie would be made & [answered Gerry] that the djinn in the movie appeared to be an agent of chaos.

Duncan followed that if you see the movie online you can pause the film to read the subtitles - & he recommended another Iranian film = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Girl_Walks_Home_Alone_at_Night [which is a vampire movie]

John O reviewed the series finale for 'She Hulk' as they really went off the rails, broke the 4th wall & left loose ends aplenty. Rick also enjoyed the show

Gayle reviewed hearing a poem from 'Alice in Wonderland', that being: 'When you are old', as it's been running through her mind since then & has been a great source of speculation for her. The chat then devolved into discussion about Lewis Carroll, English school rules & mathematics

we adjourned at 8:47pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'It is very hard to get a straight answer to non-Euclidian geometry'
