The minutes of meeting 1693 were accepted as 'having technical problems'
the proxy Treasurer report is that we have money: Regular: $15,805.32; Party: $230.58
Money can be sent to salve guilt via Paypal - sent to = dwgallaher@gmail.com
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that the San Jose Giants have 2 Marvel nights - July 21, 22 & he is getting a sense of which would be the better day, so far favoring Saturday
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Candy announced that Gayle came down with Covid, probably picked up travelling or at-con [Rad-con] - then there was some chat about the epidemic
Ric recommended checking the COVID wastewater metric for Santa Clara County: https://covid19.sccgov.org/dashboard-wastewater
Ken announced that this Friday is the 4th Friday of the month, so there will be a meeting of the Legion of Rasselon live in person at the Dennie's on Bascom in Milpitas on Abbott Rd, near the 880 freeway, at 7:30pm - wear a mask - for more info check their Facebook page

Ric reviewed 'Ant Man & the Wasp, Quantum-mania' is pretty good & worth at least matinee, but totally predictable & possibly worth it just for the Bill Murray cameo
Sandra reviewed 'RRR', seen on Netflix, as an Indian movie with English dialogue, an action-adventure buddy flick with good fx & highly recommended

Yochanan reviewed a movie, '2067' - seen on Hulu & a time travel flick - that had some nice ideas but not very good over-all, apparently better than doing nothing

Yochanan also reviewed a DVD of 'Scream of the Shalka', animated from 2004, that he really liked & highly recommends

Yochanan also reviewed a book, 'The World Omnibus of Science Fiction' as a collection of short stories, with some stories better than others, but an interesting read & he guardedly recommends it & Fred follow-on'd also recommending it, then there was some talk about Esperanto
Robin reviewed Kendra Merritt, a Colorado author - with a series called 'Mark of the Least' as fantasy adjacent & recommended
