proxy treasurer report is we have money: Regular: $15,805.32; Party: $230.58
Money can be sent to salve guilt via Paypal - sent to = dwgallaher@gmail.com
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President was not present
Announcements:
Lisa: Next month’s PEERS dance will be Star Wars themed. peersdance.org
Yochanan: Jimmy Buffet passed away. As well as Ron Cephas Jones (of This is Us).
New Lower Decks starts Thursday.
Ken: Strange New Worlds episodes airing this Friday on CBS. Lower Decks apparently is also on one of PlutoTV’s Star Trek Channels.
Reviews
Yochanan: Watched 'The Blue Beetle'. DC Comic movie, Mexican superhero. Very fun. Went OTT a couple times, but good family film. Second best DC (it’s no Wonder Woman!)
Also saw Golda with Helen Mirren playing Israeli PM Golda Meir. Very moving.
Lisa: PEERS dance on Saturday night. Mixer style has returned. Had a good time.
Finally got Paramount+, so is watching the new Start Trek programs. Adoring Picard. It’s a kick. Just enough of a mix of the old with new. Enjoyable.
Sandra: John Wick 4. A lot of fun. Combat is the most ferocious (gun-fu?) Best of the series. Definitely worth watching.
Gerald: SpaceX Dragon spacecraft (Endeavor?) splashed down with astronauts. All was fine. Passed over Key West...
Rumor of the Week: Margaritas or Chateau Picard, its all cool to me!
