Reviews
Rick: Loki season 2 (Disney+, ongoing, E2 seen) continues to have enormously entertaining sets and characters, but so far the plotting and characterization during S1 have been a hot mess. _Very_ worth watching, but the changeover of show-runners... shows.
Lower Decks (Paramount+): Latest episode was a lovely shambles. Saving it was the voice of Geoffrey Coombs.
Yochanan = Documentary Remembering Gene Wilder (SVJFF) Touching, moving, narrated by himself (using an autobiography on tape recording). Highly recommend. It’s on the festival circuit right now. Julie Nimoy was a producer.
Bob’s Burgers (Hulu/FOX TV). Great little show. Wholesome and interesting with great voice talent. Worth full price.
Gayle: Hooked on Annika (Masterpiece) Takes place in Glasgow, she’s a police supervisor (from Norway). 4th wall breaking, with literary references. Self-contained episodes.
Duncan = Landscape with Invisible Hand (2023 film) Alt near future where aliens have taken over (through commerce). Made things better, but charges for it. Worth it. Saw on MGM+ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landscape_with_Invisible_Hand
57 Seconds. Time Loop story. Morgan Freeman. (2023 American science fiction thriller film directed by Rusty Cundieff, written by Cundieff and Macon Blair, and starring Josh Hutcherson and Morgan Freeman. It is based on the story "Lucifer" by E.C. Tubb) Worth free.
Ken = Disenchanted. Fun adult romp about the ever after of various Disney princesses. sanjoseplayhouse.org
Rumor of the Week: Puns on a loop.
