REVIEWS:
Yochanan reviewed 'Sundiver', a book by David Brin in his Uplift series that he found very interesting but that got bogged-down in its details, but he did enjoy it & found it intruiging. Robin followed, commenting that the other 2 in the trilogy are better & that she enjoyed them. Patty & Rick & the secretary agreed. Gerry commented that the 6 books Brin has written in that universe are: Sundiver, Startide Rising, The Uplift War, Brightness Reef, Infinity's Shore & Heaven's Reach. Gayle has only read 'Brightness Reef' and enjoyed everything in it but the ending. Trey commented about the concept of the Uplift protocol & found 'Startide Rising' & 'Uplift War' to be good books with excellent ideas & has found all 6 to be worth reading.
and he reviewed a low-budget movie called 'Aporia' as a sort of time travel plot with so-so special effects, but speculating about interesting ramifications about altering the past & what it would do to the present. It's full of 'what ifs' & it drew him in. He saw it on Hulu, but says it is available on other platforms & liked that it made him think

Rick reviewed year 4 of 'For All Mankind' on Apple TV+ as a sf potboiler & it continues to be good & he continues to enjoy it.
we adjourned at 8:24pm
and the rumor of the week was = 'Purdy sure looked purty on Sunday'
