the President had nothing fannish to report, but notes there has been a change to the Zoom client, with a different reactions interface

Yochanan announced that there will be a limited run of 'Godzilla Minus 1 - Minus Color' Jan 26 till Feb 1 in the US & also announced that the 40th anniversary of the 1984 David Lynch 'Dune' will be a Fathom Event Feb 18-19
Ken announced that this Friday is the 4th Friday of the month, so there will be a meeting of the Legion of Rasselon live in person at the Dennie's on Bascom in Milpitas on Abbott Rd, near the 880 freeway, at 7:30pm - wear a mask - for more info check their Facebook page
Lisa announced that Consonance will be held this year at the Hilton Santa Clara, March 22 thru 24

Yochanan reviewed 'Godzilla Minus One' as very well done & he enjoyed it a great deal, finding the storyline to be quite impressive & he highly recommends it; Ken followed, saying it was a film about survivor's guilt & that he also enjoyed it highly

and he reviewed an animated movie, 'Gurren Lagann The Movie: Childhood's End', as enjoyable and a movie taken from a season of a broadcast TV show, condensed & released as a movie & worth at least matinee

Rick reviewed the latest Murderbot book by Martha Wells, 'System Collapse', the 7th in the series, as he found it to be quite fun & highly recommends it
Gerry reviewed 'The Black Count' by Tom Reiss, a biography of French general Alex Dumas, father of Author Alexander Dumas pere (author of 'The Count of Monte Cristo', et al) and grandfather of Alexander Dumas fils. He was an extraordinary fighter and organizer, but ran afoul of Napoleon and died of cancer at age 39. He rates it as a good read & highly recommended
