Called to order at 8 pm with talk from the Resistance

The minutes of meeting 1420 were accepted as 'freshly unsealed by Robert Mueller'
the Treasurer reported that at meeting 1420 we took in $5.50 in the regular jar and $16 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
[evil] Kevin announced details about Worldcon 76 will have filking and late night gaming in the Marriott
Lisa announced that they have a new kitty - Earl Grey
JC announced that Beth is doing okay after a gallstone attack
Adrienne announced that Bay Area Ghost Hunters has been very active & they will do a historical investigation at the San Leandro railroad on Nov 11 & are planning to do something soon in Napa

Bill reviewed a recent driving trip as they stopped by Kevin Standlee's place in Fernley, NV and were impressed by the improvements & the drive was lovely
Lisa reviewed taking the new kitty to a fannish vet as they had great service that was very caring
Adrienne reviewed 'Malias' in downtown Gilroy as a good restaurant with a long history & lour noise levels
Dave C reviewed 'Kingsman 2' as it seemed like a long protracted fight scene & not very good
Mo reviewed Walter Isaacson's 'Leonardo da Vinci' as well worth reading - & Brad agrees - & then reviewed 'The Noble Approach' about Maurice Noble as a good book about what animators had to go through
Fred reviewed being in Las Vegas for a skeptic's convention as he visited the nation history museum and was impressed by how accessible the displays were
Brad reviewed 'Soonish' - a book about emergent technologies by Kelly & Zach Weinersmith - as engagingly written, entertaining & highly recommended
Gerry reviewed the Space X launch of a satellite & retrieval today as successful
JC reviewed 'Split' as an actually decent M Night Shayamalan film
Vikos reviewed a Teddy Talk by David Grinspoon about man's affect on the planet as he enjoyed it & reviewed a book, 'Turbulence' by Samit Basu as a take on superheroes
