Called to order at 8 pm - with bacon

We established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1509 were accepted as 'making a supersonic woman out of Barbara'
the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $11.16 in the regular jar [total $15,495.59] & $0.25 in the party jar [total $186.33]
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that learning about group pricing for the coming Sharks season is coming apace & that he is looking at a Sharks/Redwings game in early Fall as a game for us to attend
Dave G moved & it passed to annex Dublin's bay as 'Liffey Bay' for purposes of holding a BASFA meeting at the Worldcon in Dublin
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ken announced that the Legion of Rassilon–your Doctor Who fan club–will be meeting this Friday at 7:30 p.m., at the Denny’s in Campbell (near the Pruneyard.)
Dave G announced that he has segmented wine carrier bags to give away & announced that David Hedison, who starred as Captain Lee Crane on 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' had died last week
Lisa announced that 2 conventions are coming up - this weekend is the Miss Fisher Mystery con at the Westin in SJ, July 25-27, https://www.missfishercon.com/ & in 2 weeks Mythcon 50 will be in San Diego, Aug 2-5, http://mythsoc.com/mythcon/mc50-reg.htm
Valerie announced that 'Fan Phenomena: Harry Potter' is out now = https://www.intellectbooks.com/fan-phenomena-harry-potter

REVIEWS:
John O reviewed the new 'Spiderman' movie as light fare, but enjoyable & worth full price & stay for the cookies
Dave C reviewed Southern California as he survived to return, had fun & sold books at the North American Discworld con, visited Disneyland & checked out Smuggler's Run - and almost passed out & had a chance to visit Disney emergency services & his car got clipped by an Amazon delivery van & he lost a side-mirror - then Lisa & Valerie follow-on'd the Discworld con review & both had fun there
John O reviewed the Will Smith live action 'Aladin' as he liked the casting & recommends it if you like the Disney franchise
Valerie reviewed several cons - with special mention for 'Leviosa', a small Harry Potter con in LA as very nice & that the San Diego Comic Con was typically enormous & crazy, with a good Masquerade, having the Foglio's as MC's
Gerry reviewed a distributed a National Space Societies conference - Breakfast on the Moon - as a good chat about space development
Vikan reviewed a 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing event held on the USS Hornet as there were lots of groups there, a large attendance & it was a great deal of fun
we did auctions
we adjourned at 8:48, in memory of Captain Lee Crane
Rumor of the week was 'The bat signal is my high squeaky voice'
