Called to order at 8pm-ish
21 humanoids & at least 3 kitties attended
the President ruled that establishing multiple jars cannot be reasonably done while online
The minutes of meeting 1543 were accepted as 'virtually there' [eventually]
the Treasurer was not present
the VP reported [with help] that he was responsible for setting this up
the President thanked eveyone who made this possible & wished everyone well
the Sports Committee reported that there might be a BASFA outing to the SJGiants Harry Potter night on Friday, July 31, tba, so there may or may not be refunds - or a game held - & Worldcon/New Zealand may be help online

Cliff announced that one of his short stories was reviewed on Locus in the March 2020 issue = “Preliminary Field Observations of the Los Gatos Obelisk” (Mad Scientist Journal, Winter 2020, Dawn Vogel and Jeremy Zimmerman, eds.)
Lisa announced that Honor Blackman has died

REVIEWS:
John O reviewed seeing movies that were supposed to be released in March have been released online - Onward was a story on rails with fun characters but def not worth 19.95 & reviewed a subreddit = 'HFY' [Humans F--- Yeah] with many characters & interwined plots & worth the read

and he also reviewed buying a 3D printer that he hasn't used much yet, but holds promise & he's having fun playing with it

Gerald reviewed Sarah Pinsker's book - “A Song for a New Day” - about virtual distancing as eerily precient & recommended & is a Nebula finalist
Ric reviewed Broadway HD = http://broadwayhd.com - a site for musicals & much is free or very inexpensive & very worth checking out & also reviewed 'Birds of Prey' as the 2nd best DC comic adapted movie they've put out since 'Wonder Woman' & highly recommended
Valerie reviewed 2 online cons she has attended the last 2 weeks: Heliosphere mostly East Coast filk and a few panels, quite fun - and then Confromhome, internationally attended - where she spoke on the heroine's journey & had lots of solo talks, mostly on cosplay and costume creation. She also reviewed films with tweet-along or facebook chat live commentary - & 'Birds of Prey' with the director was great.
Stellan reviewed the Swedish hoarders as completely insane
