The minutes of meeting 1582 were accepted as 'quarantined'
the Treasurer was absent but little has changed =
regular total is $15,633.83; party total is $230.58
money can be sent to salve guilt via Paypal - sent to = dwgallaher@gmail.com
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President reported that he saw 'The Watch' & is pleased that Terry Pratchett's work is now more available for mass appeal
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ken announced that rumors about Jodie Whittaker leaving Dr Who do not appear to be true & announced that there will be a Legion of Rasselon virtual meeting this Sunday, check lor.club for details, now that they are meeting twice a month
Howeird announced that he now has a less technical porch light control that works reliably & is no longer a fire hazard
REVIEWS:
Yochanan reviewed a show called 'Counterpart' on Amazon as spy vs spy in an parallel universe plot & he gives it a 3 out of 4 stars, quite enjoying it
Lisa reviewed the SJ 'Christmas in the Park' drive-through & the lights were sync'd with what was playing on the radio & the light shows also were also well timed; & she reviewed the current Dr Who as interesting and fun - Ken followed, saying he also enjoyed it, John O agreed; & she reviewed a Youtube of 'In search of Medieval Britain' = check https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbpWTrW2Y52dcdKzPziV9Ig/feed
Craig reviewed a movie, 'The History of Future Folk' which is available on Netflix, as a real low-budget movie but highly amusing & what saves the Earth is music & he highly recommends it [check = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_Folk]
John O reviewed 'The Queen's Gambit' as a chess-related Netlix mini-series & highly recommended & Yochanan commented that the actress was in 'New Mutants'
Trey reviewed 'The Watch' as adapted from Pratchett and while they were not able to translate the words to screen, they did manage to get the feel of the characters, that the acting was good & there are some interesting casting choices. Overall he was pleased by it & recommends that others check it out. Lisa followed & said she found it a really interesting portrayal of Terry's concept & worth watching - & Dave C said it was not as good as he hoped but much better than he feared
