Yochanan announced that 'Star Trek Strange New Worlds' premiers this week on May 5th

Gerry announced that there is a planetary conjunction of Venus, Jupiter, Mars & Saturn visible in the pre-dawn sky for the next 3 or 4 days in the southeast skies

REVIEWS:

Yochanan reviewed a program shown on Hulu that is either entitled 'Multiverse' or 'Entangled' & considered it okay, he guesses. He gives it a 'C' grade for at an hour and a half that doesn't waste too much time
and he reviewed another show called 'The Gifted', also shown on Hulu, as a series originally from Fox with interesting stories but that the acting cast being 'really pretty people' distracts from their message, but he still liked it a lot

Gerry reviewed that a New Zealand launch by Rocket Lab managed to catch its booster with a helicopter after the launch

Gayle reviewed the SF Ballet's production of Swan Lake as she went last Saturday night and considers the SF Ballet to be really wonderful. She highly recommends it & wants to see it again
sfballet.org Swan Lake. Some performances have senior rush same-day seats; call (415-865-2000) for info.

Howeird reviewed a book called 'It Ain't Over' by Robert M Kerns as a trashy science fiction novel but he found it strangely compelling & bought the sequel called 'Until It's Over'. He considers them both to be good reads & full of entertaining ideas - worth full price
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QD1W4ZG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_d_asin_image_o01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and he also reviewed this week's episode of 'Picard' as getting darker and less believable. There were follow-ons agreeing at this downward direction, for the most part

Kennita reviewed 'Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century' as the animation was poor, the dialogue stilted and she did not much care for it & not worth much even though she saw it for free
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0218791/

Rick reviewed seeing 2 episodes of 'The Man Who Fell to Earth', seen on Showtime, Sundays, as an appropriately weird follow-on to the 1976 David Bowie film, this time with Chiwetel Ejiofor as the visiting alien, Naomie Harris as his new earthling friend, and Bill Nighy playing Bowie's role. He considered the show to be very promising

we adjourned at 8:32 pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'Indecision makes life more interesting ... or perhaps it doesn't'
