Reviews
Lisa: FurCon: Sci Fi con about animals, and how to make animals. Large dealers room, art show. Go every year and have a good time. People are delightful. Large fur-suit parade (100s of them). BASFA had a well received party there.
Rick = For All Man Kind (?TV+) 4th series, and best yet. Strongly recommend. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Echo (Disney+) All 5 dropped with no publicity. Marvel series. Character was in Hawkeye. Origin changed from comic books. Character is Native American (Chockta?) Basically a crime drama, violent, but very very good. Different, but on par with Wandavision and Loki. Worthwhile. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echo_(miniseries)
Yochanan = The Boy and the Heron. It was beautiful. Amazing realism mixed with wild fantasy. Set in WW2, some slower bits, resolved a bit fast. Glad to have seen it. Birds are mean in this. Very interesting. Worth a watch. Afterwards was able to get a taste of FurCon, since it was across the street.
Duncan = Blue-Eye Samurai. Very violent animated. Worth it. Entirely fantastic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Eye_Samurai <- Netflix
Valerie = Fan Expo Portland had terrible attendance, compared with Rose City Comic Con, SF Fan Expo, and similar cons. The snow storm and 12 degree weather even knocked out the public transportation. Thus Valerie's book sales were bad.
Rumor of the Week: Further Confusion: The Dramatic Paws/Pause that Delights.
