Reviews
Yochanan: Percy Jackson & the Olympians (D+) 8 part series. Loved it. Only complaint is some of the gods look too human. The kids are the heart & soul. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percy_Jackson_and_the_Olympians_(TV_series)
and he reviewed = A Quantum Love Story by Mike Chen (local author). Page turner. Unfortunate title (blame the publisher). About a couple of characters stuck in a time-loop. Very interesting. harpercollins.com/products/a-quantum-love-story-mike-chen?variant=41056074727458
and he reviewed = Orion and the Dark (Netflix/Dreamwork) animated film. Similar to Inside Out, in personification of concepts (like Dark, Insomnia &c…) Interesting film. Script by Charlie Kaufman, based on a children’s book. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_and_the_Dark Would pay to see in theatre.
Lisa: PEERS Dance was a resounding success. Sold out + some observation tickets. Music was excellent. was tired, exhausted and very happy.
Rick: Argylle (2024 film, currently in cinemas) is a spoof spy comedy thriller with meta-layer complications to a degree I'm calling it SFnal. Bryce Dallas Howard is a the protag, a meek author of spy thrillers, and a great cast including Sam Rockwell are a lot of fun in it. Very silly and fluffy, but deliberately so. Full price.
Rumor of the Week: The only thing harder than finding someone in a time loop is losing them
