BASFA minutes for May 27
Meeting 1191

Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary
held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 Fwy), Sunnyvale
Began at 8:00 pm - with pie
18 people attended
Dave C made a motion that failed
A party jar was established
The minutes of meeting 1190 were accepted as 'approved by commissioner Chuckford'
the Treasurer was absent
the Vice President reported that there are no new Garcia fanzines out - but there are podcasts - check johnny eponymous @youtube channel & journeyplanet.com
The President had nothing fannish to report
the Outings Committee reported that the SJ Giants night is this Thursday night, 7pm and they'll be in section G - and they gave out free tickets
Announcements:
Ken announced that there will be a Legion of Rasselon meeting this Friday, 7:30 pm at the Carl's at 1st & Trimble
Adrienne announced that she'll bring the Dr Who stamps for auction next week
Mo announced that the IDGA Silicon Valley Chapter will have a relaunch party at the place that used to be Capps on Castro Street at Villa, Mtn View, 7pm - check her facebook page
Reviews:
Chris reviewed Conquest as the greatest convention of all time & that he had the best-ever BBQ 6 times while there at 4 places
Carole reviewed Clockwork Alchemy as in its 2nd year, that she did 6 panels and the con went well; Bill agreed
Mo reviewed Fanime's art gallery as she had a kick-ass team - lots of fun and enjoyable - well worth full price
Fred went & had a good time; Adrienne had fun; Lisa commented that there were some Reg problems
Adrienne reviewed 'Orphan Black' on BBC America as she's really gotten into it & it's tons of fun
Bradford reviewed Baycon as he enjoyed it [others agreed] & Dave C commented that the Dealer's room was smaller but that book sales were great
then we did auctions
we adjourned at 9:23 pm
and the rumor of the week was: 'I love cons'
