held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 Fwy), Sunnyvale
Began at 8 - with new sideburns

A party jar was established
The minutes of meeting 1221 were accepted as 'totally worth the $32.00 it took to get there'
the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $2.50 in the regular jar & $14.50 in the party jar
the Vice President reported that there is a new 'Journey Planet' out & a new 'Drink Tank' will be out tomorrow
The President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee is looking at dates for a BASFA baseball outing
Announcements:
Ken announced radio stuff & announced that the next Psychotronic Fil Festival will be Saturday, Feb 1
JC announced that episode 22 of Nerdvana Podcast will be recorded soon
Debbie announced that she bought her membership to ShamrockCon and that the prices go up Jan 1st
Adrienne announced that she has stuff to give away for anyone interested

Steven reviewed comics [as good] & reviewed a movie that was so good it ended with an arrest - then reviewed a review of
Room 237 as way deep with many interpretations - and this inspired a lot of follow ons
Ric reviewed a movie trailer as indescribible & reviewed a Star Wars exhibit as good & that Chris is now kicking himself
for having forgotten to review it; reviewed 'American hustle' as delightful & recommended; then announced that Sherlock
Holmes materials before 1923 are now in the public domain
JC reviewed the Dr. Who Christmas special as not one of his favorites - and there was much discussion
[evil] Kevin reviewed 'Training Wheels' as the best application of Stark Technology in any film & only available on the 'Despicable Me 2' blueray & Andy comments that the mini-movies on it were good and the featurettes were terrible
Howeird requested titles by James Gunn that are worth reading
Trey reviewed the newest 'Man of Steel' flick as he was terribly disappointed by it; Mo agreed & there were various other follow ons
then we did auctions
we adjourned at 10 pm
and the rumor of the week was: 'BASFA announces a campaign to cast Benedict Cumberbatch as the new Superman'
