held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 Fwy), Sunnyvale
Began at 8 pm - still talking about the Westercon business meeting
15 people attended
The minutes for meeting 1090 were postponed until next week & minutes for meeting 1091 were accepted as 'very inclusive'
there was no Treasurer's report
The VP was still at Westercon
The President had been st Westercon, but had nothing fannish to report - although we all did say 'hi' to Westercon's fan GoH, Mike Willmoth, & his wife, Jean Goddin - both visiting us for the 1st time
Star Wars night at the Giants is still Sept 4
'The bar, 6pm, Monday' was a pre-BASFA get-together organized by Glenn Glazier - that began at 6pm & succeeded in attracting 31 fans & Kuma Bear
Announcements:
Lisa announced that [evil] Kevin & Andy 'got a lovely parting gift from the Match Game' in the form of Westercon 66, to be held in 2013
Reviews:
Westercon was reviewed - Glenn said it started for him on Wednesday - his shower ran hot & cold without human interference - that it was a convention full of incidents & the Business meeting ['was full of SMOF-porn' = Mike Willmoth] - was managed exceptionally well by [tall] Kevin - it was an awful lot of work, but worth it; Mike follow-on'd that he had a great time; Adrienne opined that it was a great adventure; Fred helped out at-con and was impressed by how much work goes into events like Match Game & the GG Radio Show; Lisa commented 'I'm not done {with the con} yet' - she made it to a few panels & the Masquerade was small but gorgeous
we adjourned at 8:37 pm

And then there were auctions: The Westercon business meeting had cake!
