held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 Fwy), Sunnyvale
Began at 8pm - with bittersweet feelings [since it was Marina's last night]

We established a secret [Marina] jar
The minutes of meeting 1281 were accepted as 'wibbly wobbley'
The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $2.25 in the regular jar and $55.21 in the [secret] jar
The Vice President was absent [meeting #5]
The President had nothing fann-ish to report
The Sports Committee reported there are still 5 or 6 tickets available for the BASFA outing to the Giants/Marlins game, May 8 at 7:15pm; the ticket cost is $23 for view reserve seats in section 319
Announcements:
Ken announced that the Legion of Rasselon meeting is this Friday at 7:30pm at the IHoP on Steven's Creek/Lawrence & announced that Bellarmine College Prep school will begin performances of 'Spamalot' this Friday, Saturday, Sunday - and next Thursday thru Sunday with a $15 ticket cost & he announced that he may have a phone interview this week
JC announced that Nerdvana Podcast, episode 36, show 141 will be Oscar coverage & released Wednesday & announced that his graphic design business, Blue Mirage, is restarting & he'll be going to part-time at Michaels
Ric announced that Feb 24 begins the 2 weeks of Cinequest & he'll be covering it with a filmography, check http://www.ricbret.com/ & he announced that Oni Press is bringing back 'Invader Zim' & announced that Pechakucha is returning on Tues, March 31 at Cafe Stritch - check http://www.presentationsroundtable.com/pksj/ & also announced that 2 Fanboy Planet podcasts have been released
John O announced that Consonance is happening March 6-8 & announced that the Sasquan 2015 Hugo base winner is Matthew Dockery, a Seattle fan
Adrienne announced that Mo is improving
Bill announced that he & Carole have a new-to-them cat that is getting used to them
Gerry Nordley asked for information on a subject
Fred announced that Leonard Nimoy is in hospital right now
Dave C announced that a Disney ride has closed & that Dapper Day at Disneyland will be March 1st

Gerry reviewed a Nancy Kress novella - 'Yesterday's kin' as really good, reviewed a short story by Bridget Mckenna - 'King in Exile' as a fun and bittersweet story & reviewed Rad-Con as a fair-sized con & pleasant
Dave C reviewed Mark Hodder's 'The Return of the Discontinued Man' as fun and strange - worth trade paperback & reviewed Gallifrey 1 that for him as a dealer, it was wonderful - then there were a LOT of other positive comments about Gallifrey 1, then Dave reviewed 'Kingsman' as fun and violent and worth full price
Howeird reviewed a play by the Sunnyvale Players, 'Little Mermaid Junior' as having a young cast, it was written for kids & quite well done, despite mike problems, with delightful costume & worth full price
Beth reviewed 'Newzies' at the Warfield in SF as absolutely spectacular & it may be playing thru March 17 & they got a bobblehead
John O reviewed Craig Ferguson's 'Walking the Earth' stand-up show as ribald & fun
Dave G reveiwed visiting and trying to escape from Levi Stadium as the light rail was slammed, getting into the stadium was reasonably simple, they seemed to have elevator issues and a lack of food
Adrienne reviewed 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes', as she enjoyed it, reviewed an anime she couldn't recall the name for was too long, but nice animation & reviewed 'Inherant Vice' as it had some nice scenes & reviewed 'American Sniper' as the plot didn't tie up well & reviewed 'Boyhood' as too long & reviewed 'Theory of Everything' as enjoyable & reviewed 'Imitation Game' as well-acted & she thought the AMC theatre handled showing the 4-movies-in-a-row rather poorly
Ric reviewed 2 musicals that will be shown at Cinequest as both look interesting & highly recommends both & reviewed a game, 'Pairs' as it costs $9 and he highly recommends it
Lisa reviewed Stitches West as there was fan content among the hand crafts & knitting - and she had fun
we did auctions
JC bought a BASFA membership for Marina
