BASFA Meeting 1284

We established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1283 were accepted as 'drunk typing and/or drunk reading'
The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $5.97 in the regular jar
The Vice President was not here
The President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported there are still tickets available for the BASFA outing to the Giants/Marlins game, May 8 at 7:15pm; the ticket cost is $23 for view reserve seats in section 319
Announcements:
[evil] Kevin announced that March 28 is the Transgender day of Visibility & he's producing the nightclub part at the Billie Frank Center & the weekend of April 3rd he's entered Robogames in 2 categories, check robogames.net
JC announced that Nerdvana Podcast episode 36, part 2 will be out on Wednesday & announced that he had a gall bladder attack & will be having it removed April 2
[newly evil] Chris announced that a friend of his has a costume for sale
Adrienne announced that Mo should be discharged March 26
Beth announced that she will be graduating
Josh announced that a friend of his has a Kickstarter going for a game - 'Super Slam Dunk Touchdown' & on March 19 will have the game featured at 7 Stars Bar & Grill
Howeird announced that the BASFA Time Travellers committee will mee here last week at 8pm
Dave C announced that the August 2014 Cargo Cult catalog is out now
Brad announced that the Missouri state legislature has inducted Robert Heinlein into their famous men museum & that the Heinlein Society is raising money for a bust & plaque for him
Carole announced that she has the Costume Con 33 Fashion Folio out the door
Reviews:
I reviewed 'Jupiter Descending' as visually stunning and light on plot, but well-supplied with eye candy, worth full price
Bill reviewed Consonance, a filk con, as having good singing, a fun con & Lisa reviewed it as very nice, with good singing and they had a fun time
Josh reviewed a play, 'Richard the 3rd' at the Impact Theatre as absolutely perfect & spot on
Howeird reviewed a play, 'Little Mermaid Jr', as he saw it with the 2nd cast on closing night & they were even better & reviewed a book 'All My Friends are Dead' by Avery Monsen & Jory John as funny
Dave C reviewed a book, 'The Sapphire Sirens' as fun & Silly & worth full price & reviewed Fogcon as a nice con from a dealer's perspective, Brad followed, saying that he liked the panels and recommends it & Fred thought it was a really good con
Brad then predicted that there would be a change in the show 'Walking Dead'
Dave G reviewed a play, 'The Intergalactic Nemesis - Robot Planet rising' as interesting
we adjourned at 9:09 pm
and the rumor of the week was: 'Methinks he puns too much'
