We established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1289 were accepted as 'the secretary says she doesn't have them'
The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $16.00 in the regular jar & $11.39 in the party jar
The Vice President reported there is a new, albeit 2 weeks old, 'Journey Planet' out and another will soon be released
The President greeted Nathan, visiting us for the 1st time, who is from Ohio and a long-time fan
The Sports Committee reported that we're still sold out of tickets for the BASFA baseball outing for the May 8th Giants game
Announcements:
Brad announced that Stan Lee & Steve Wozniak will start up a new Silicon Valley convention next year
Chris announced that Art Widner died last week at age 97
Dave C announced that it's national pot day; Ken then announced that tomorrow is national unannounced drug test day
Adrienne announced that she is still getting rid of things
JC announced that Nerdvana Podcast, episode 38, part 2 will be out Wednesday & that they'll record episode 39 soonish
Ken announced that this Friday is the Legion of Rasselon meeting at the IHoP on Stevens Creek & Lawrence, 7:30pm & announced that on May 4th he will be doing a Star Wars music medley on KFJC
Fred announced that Book Buyers bookstore in Mountain View is having problems

Nathan reviewed the new 'Star Wars' trailer as it looks promising
Bill reviewed the 'Star Wars' orchestral performance as very well done; Lisa followed, saying it was great and a lot of hard work & phenominal & Harold liked the subtitles used
Carole reviewed Big Wow as a standard comic convention, with a few good panels, as it was a lot of fun [and her Tshirt was -excellent!-], Bill reviewed it as there was a lot of energy there and he enjoyed it a lot more than he expected to & there were other positive comments made
Diane recommended going to cons
Chris also recommended going to cons & reviewed Wrestlemania as go see it in person and the Russian tank was the best part
Adrienne reviewed the new season start of 'Orphan Black' as amazing & she appreciates the male nudity; Chuck agreed and found the acting amazing
Mo reviewed 'Ancillary Justice' & 'Ancillary Sword' by Ann Leckie as they really drew her in and are excellent reads
JC reviewed Disney's 'Monkey Kingdom' as fun and worth full price & Beth's opinion is that 'monkeys are cool'
Nathan reviewed the 'Daredevil' series as it captured the feel of the comics and Marvel universe & Carole said the overall quality is good
