Galen Tripp, Sergeant at Arms
Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary
Began 8-ish at Lyons - with wonderful mocha mud pie
20 people attended
we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1344 were accepted as 'who was that masked author?'
The Treasurer was absent, but we are rumored to have money
The Vice President had nothing fannish to report & mentioned he & Geri will not be at next week's meeting
The President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reminded that THIS Saturday is the May 14, 5pm, SJ Giants Star Wars game in Martinelli Plaza
The Site Selection committee reminds that the Black Bear Diner won in the BASFA site selection online balloting and will be our meeting place through May and the 1st week of June, with June 6 being a ratification meeting.
May meetings at = Black Bear Diner = 174 W. Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas
The Meet-up Committee reported that membership is over 400 now
The Website Committee has updated the BASFA website to show we are meeting at Black Bear Diner for the next 5 weeks
announcements:
[tall] Kevin announced that he brought baseball swag from the Reno Aces for the BASFA auction
Dave C announced that he won't be attending Whedonopolis
Lisa announced that the Sharks are ahead in the 3rd period [and theh they lost that game]
Adrienne announced that she approves of a [tall] Kevin proposal [see http://kevin-standlee.livejournal.com/1562815.html]
Gayle announced that it was her & Gerry's anniversary
reviews:
Jon reviewed being an extra for the TV show 'Sense8' as sitting around for hours while being paid for it & that catering served lobster; Adrienne followed that it can be rewarding & enjoyable work
Gerry reviewed a SpaceX spaceship booster landing as everything worked
JC reviewed 'Civil War' as thoroughly enjoyed, worth full price & Beth reviewed it as a zero-pillow film; Ken says that he & Geri have seen it twice already - both times at full price; Dave C saw it & agrees
[tall] Kevin reviewed winning at Keno as fun
we did auctions
we adjourned at = 9:08
and the rumor of the week was = 'BASFA, I only read it for the articles'
