Called to order at 8:05 pm

we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1427 were accepted as 'Fred will procure a receptacle'
the Treasurer reported that we took in an unknown amount last week & at meeting 1426 we took in $10.35 in the regular jar & $5.00 in the party jar
the VP was not here
the President had nothing fannish to report
the Sports Committee is looking into Giants games & the 3rd Friday in May game looks promising
The Party Committee reported that the next BASFA party will be at Furcon, Saturday night
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
John O announced that Weird Al will be in Oakland at the Fox Theatre on May 19, check weirdal.com & announced that Worldcon 76 will present Retro Hugos for the year 1943 on Saturday night of con & Dublin will present Retro Hugos for 1944
Brad announced that he will get the last souvenir from the Spokane Worldcon very soon
Dave C announced that the First Church of the SilverSexual will hold the 6th annual David Bowie birthday bash Jan 5-6 at the Chapel in SF & announced that Janet Wilson [Anderson] has health problems & has a medical GoFundMe
Gerry announced that the Space X launch scheduled for tonight was aborted on the launch pad
Aatheus announced that the doco, 'The Disaster Artist' is out now
Adrienne & Dave G announced that the next SMOFcon will be held in Santa Rosa next November 30 thru December 2 & pre-reg is $50 until 2018
REVIEWS:
'Coco' was positively reviewed by several [as beautiful, well told, worth full price] - Aatheus likes the lounger seats at the Great Mall, Bill & Carole liked the music, John O thought the 3d was seamless
Adrienne reviewed SMOFcon as a fun, relaxing convention, Dave G & Dave C also went and enjoyed themselves
Lisa reviewed the German market in Mountain View as she enjoyed different foods, music and a book store, all in a small area
Dave C reviewed 'Justice League' as he enjoyed it & thought it worked well - Brad & Adrienne also enjoyed it, then Dave reviewed the loss of AIM as an upgrade in service
Dave G reviewed 'Post Modern Jukebox' as doing modern hits from the 30's and 40's, enjoyed it, recommends it and thinks it worth full price
Several people reviewed the SF radio program 'Zero Minus X' as being done well & then there was a discussion of 'Cold Equations'
Ric reviewed 'Star Trek Continued', as fan project on YouTube as free, well-done & recommended
Brad reviewed LosCon as enjoyable & he got posters he was looking for & reviewed the mid-season finale for 'Walking Dead' as it left a lot of unanswered questions
John O reviewed the one day he attended the Heroes and Villains media con as still too-crowded & they're not sure if they'll go next year & reviewed the 'Welcome to Nightvale' travelling show as enjoyable
