tallKevin Nevada primary is tomorrow, and Kevin’s political fate will be determined - for a position on the North Lyon County Fire Protection District Board of Directors. The fire board is a non-partisan position, unlike others (which default to GOP & AIP). There are 4 slots on the ballot for 2 positions.

We have brochures and book marks, along with posters for WC76.
Lisa Memorial for Harold on Friday at WorldCon76 in the Fairmount.
Harold Zeldathon Champions, charity live streaming event. Supporting St. Jude. Friday June 15 through the following Thursday. zeldathon.net
Bradford Will be giving a presentation on writing non-fiction at the San Mateo County Fair. Exhibition Hall from 4:30-5:30.
Diane WordCon76 will be at WesterCon in Denver over the July 4th weekend. If you can help, please let her know. These are the final appearances before WordCon76!

Jerry WordCon76 Tours are now open for registration, and sold 9 tickets! Mystery Houses, Atom Smashers, Start Up Garages and pub Crawls. Log into your WordCon76 membership, and look at the add-ons page.
tallKevin - site selection is now available online, with supporting membership add-ons online. There’s a NASFiC (2019) and WorldCon (2020). Utah is the only candidate for the NASFiC (to combine with WesterCon72). New Zealand for the WorldCon bid. Vote - because it’s not impossible to loose.
Reviews
Mo Been watching Comrade Detective - a Russian police procedural. It was very popular program (a bit Starsky & Hutch minus the cars). Investigating murders while towing the party line. From the ‘90s. It’s on Netflix.
Gayle IMDB’d it, and it’s a comedy/parody!
Bradford SF Comic Con in Oakland (natch) One of the smaller, but crowded. Only 2 comic book dealers. Now has all the BatMan’s with Joker covers (#53). Only needs #57 & #58 to complete his run. Jonathan Frakes was there. They traded waves.
Dianne Read books, recommends… Long Juju Man (YA), Binti: The Night Masquerade (both by Nnedi Okorafor), AfroSF: Science Fiction by African Writers (a collection), Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View (a Star Wars collection celebrating 40 years with 40 Stories.)
Fred Book: Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi is better than he expected. Good pacing, did not get bored.
There was an auction.
