Called to order at 8 pm - with a countdown
19 1/2 people attended
we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1470 were accepted as 'sparing the secretary'
the Treasurer reported that at meeting 1470, we took in $0.51 in the regular jar & $31.75 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that our tickets for the BASFA outing to the Sharks game on Saturday, Nov 3rd are sold out & will be distributed soon

Carole reviewed attending a West Virginia costume exhibit as fun - both the exhibit and lots of great conversations
Alex reviewed his first LARP that occurred in Oregon & was a post-apocalyptic camping trip, that it was a great experience, lots of fun & that nerf guns can pack quite a wallop; check https://www.facebook.com/AfterworldsGame for more info on the game
Lisa reviewed the new Doctor as so far great fun, Ken followed that it was the highest rated Dr Who episode in 10 years & then there was neepery
Gerry reviewed 'Rubicon' by Tom Holland, written in 2003 as narrative history about the last years of the Roman Republic & highly recommended
