Called to order at 8 pm - with ghost of cherry pie

we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1474 were accepted as 'Arthur'
the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $2.59 in the regular jar & $10.42 in the party jar - and that at meeting 1473 we took in $0.75 in the regular jar & $5.50 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that the BASFA outing to the Sharks game went well & that he is currently pricing Giants tickets
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Adrienne announced that BoucherCon [the World Mystery Con] will be held in Sacramento in 2020 - check http://bouchercon2020.org/ & she announced that this Saturday there is a book signing for Tobin Gilman's 'The McGlincy Killings in Campbell, California: an 1896 Unsolved Mystery', at 1pm in Katie Bloom's Irish Pub [a pub in downtown Campbell]
Lisa announced that there's a con coming up - Orycon 40, this weekend, Nov 9-11 in Portland, Oregon & that they will be there
Chris O announced that there will be 2 performances of SF Taiko Dojo drumming for their 50th anniversary at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center on Nov 10-11, check sftaiko.com
John O announced that Ingress has been re-released as Ingress Prime - check ingress.com
REVIEWS:
Ken reviewed 'Bohemian Rhapsody' as worth seeing opening night in IMAX - JC followed, agreeing that it's worth seeing & he had hopes & they were exceeded; then Ken reviewed seeing 'Evil Dead the Musical' as they were in the splatter zone & had a lot of fun - Dave G saw it and agrees - then Ken reviewed seeing the Symphony SF music of the Harry Potter music as they had a nice time
JC reviewed 'Mousecon' at the Claremont Hotel as small & it was kind of nice to go there
Adrienne reviewed the new Doctor as she is doing a really good job
John O reviewed 'Bad Times at the El Royale' as an ensemble cast movie that includes lots of turns and twists and an almost-always-shirtless Chris Hemsworth - he recommends it
Mike Wallis reviewed the randomized book tour that John Scalzi is doing as they had a good time at it & he reviewed a library moving its collection in part by allowing unlimited book check-out as being kind of a lovely idea
