we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1484 were accepted as 'posted online'
the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $1.00 in the regular jar & $8.76 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President said 'hi' to Stan - visiting us for the first time; he found us through the Meet-up page & he reminded the members that due to Hugo nomination discussions after the meeting there will be no auctions tonight, Feb 4 & Feb 11
The Party Committee reported that the FurCon BASFA parties were held on Friday & Saturday of con & were riotously popular & that the next BASFA party will be at BABScon, April 20-21 at the Hyatt Regency - check http://www.babscon.com/2019/
The Sports Committee subset reported that he is still sussing out the club's interest in either or both SJ Giants games for BASFA outings - Star Wars night on May 4 - and Harry Potter night on June 15; seems like there is some interest in both - contact him at basfa@p4tt.com
And then the Sports Committee Prime polled the membership for interest in a SJ Sharks upper deck outing

John O announced that ticket are available for Friday, March 8 will see Space Station 1999 at the DNA Lounge & announced that Tycho Newark [Calif] will have a performance Saturday, April 27 at McGregor School auditorium
Ken announced that this Sunday he will be on KFJC, 89.7 FM - for your listening pleasure
Lisa announced that yesterday was the anniversary of Apollo 11
[little] Harold announced that in honor of Black History month that 'Black Panther' will be having a week of free showings in different places
Aatheus announced that Radar had a birthday last weekend & announced that Feb 23 is the 2nd annual Space Camp party at the US Hornet, 6pm till 3am
Gerry announced that he wants to promote several pieces for Hugo nominations - 'The Stone Heart' in Uncertain Destinies, edited by V.E.Frankel; 'Run Lagomorph' in Pulling up Stakes, edited by Joyce Reynolds Ward & 'Empires of Starlight' in the Dec 2018 Analog

Michael reviewed 'Terfworld.com' as imaginative, with a strong story & enjoyable
Ken reviewed the Palo Alto Players performance of 'Shakespeare in Love' as done very well, worth full price & recommended - and will be playing through this weekend
Lisa reviewed 'The Oriville' as enjoyable, worth watching & with good stories & Ken agreed
