Jerry Dance-along Nutcracker will be December 7 & 8 at the Yerba Buena Center For The Arts in San Francisco. The theme this year is space, and will feature Star Trek, Star Wars and NASA stuff. Jerry is doing the costumes! https://www.sflgfb.org/performances-and-events/dance-along-nutcracker-2019/

ChrisO Pat Turner had disappeared off FaceBook for a while. She is ok. Just had communications issues.

Reviews
JohnO Reading: The Jericho Singularity by Joel Gerard. Archaeologists unleash a chain of events. Buy cheap, not full price.
Reading: In an Absent Dream, fourth book in the Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire. This is a stand-alone (no shared characters from the previous books.) Different in tone. Recommends is you like the first three, but not required.
Reading: Part way through The Boys (comic) just as hard to get through as the TV series. Gory, ugly, tough to read but very very good. If you made it through the TV series, read the book.
Watched: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Enjoyed it. Find out why she’s evil... Michelle Pfeiffer chews the scenery. Fun. Recommends.
Watched: Addams Family (animated). Very much more like the TV series. Doesn’t break new ground. Recommend.
Watched: Zombieland 2: Double Tap. Delivered brainless fun. Picked up ten years later. The actors all have too much fun. Rosario Dawson is brought in. Highly recommend if you just want to laugh at sick jokes.

Diane There was a con recently. It was fab. World Fantasy Convention in LA full price. Lots of phenomenal speakers. Robert Silverberg was toastmaster (probably should no longer be on the podium...) If you have a chance to go in future, do so. There were food trucks.
DaveC: Ice Cream Social: Less flavors, more supplied.
DaveG: Disappointed by the lack of parties. (staffing issues may have been the cause.)
DaveC: Kudos to the 2 gentlemen who threw an impromptu party in the hospitality suite. Hotel: Had items shipped to the hotel, and found that they don’t do that any more. Shipments are now in the new on–site FedEx office, which is an extra cost.
Diane: Tried to drop-ship and hold at the FedEx. Cost $70, even though FedEx didn’t even touch it, as they were closed when it came in.
