Gayle announced that the PAS (Pacific Astronomical Society) featured Dr. Elinor Gates of Lick Observatory and it’s on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swzKnB7JbGg

REVIEWS:
Gerry reviewed a campaign speech by Michelle Obama as amazing & available online & also reviewed 'Ice Bound' by Jerri Nielson as a science fiction novel without the fiction & really a must-read book

Trey reviewed reading 'World War Z', as he's not yet finished it but comments that the movie is nothing like the book, whereas the book is a compendium of short stories of how humans survived a zombie apocalypse and is an optimistic take on the topic & he recommends it

Valerie reviewed Jackbox games as a delightful online party game collection. Also, here are free online games, check = https://lifehacker.com/our-13-favorite-free-games-to-play-over-video-chat-1844648370?fbclid=IwAR2iaFTBAcmArN8L7RjlIGcEvyDjlQSou0V6PC_aOSuGDy94pqvjYLW-F4w

John O reviewed Disney's 'Artemis Fowl' as not a deep movie, is on rails, is worth matinee & reviewed the live action 'Jungle Book' as faithful to the animation & the characterizations are very well done, would have been worth seeing in the theater & also reviewed the opening night of the Democratic National Convention as setting up the next 5 days of the con

Aatheus reviewed a brush fire in Milpitas as it helped provide a good sunset & gives it half a star & also reviewed 'Arrival' as enjoyable & worth matinee

Dave C reviewed 'Doctor Who: Scratchman' by Tom Baker as a 4th Doctor story & has a good turn of phrase & he recommends the book; there were follow-ons

Duncan reviewed an app called 'next spaceflight' as delightful & it gives worldwide coverage; he highly recommends it

we adjourned at 8:35 pm

Rumor of the week was = 'Fandom will not die, it will only mutate'
