REVIEWS:
John reviewed their early birthday present to themselves was to drive down to LA, were careful & stayed at a Marriott hotel - seeing lots of crowding & mask violations - they went down for the Taste of Knott's food festival, as the festival was very nice, the staff was very good, the air quality was terrible & they ended up exhausted, John picked up a Gardians of the Galaxy lunchbox & some little Dr Who figures, visited Disney & did some downtown Disney shopping
Then, over the weekend they saw the Democratic fundraiser, a live-reading of Princess Bride that was really fun, with much of the original cast doing their roles & well worth the donation. Lisa followed, saying she really, really enjoyed it; Valerie agreed & very much enjoyed it. John says they also saw another Democratic fund raiser with Kamela Harris & others that was also worth viewing. Gerald commented that he saw the fundraiser & the participants were all having too much fun; not to serious, but a good time.
Craig reviewed the 'Return of Hyper Comics' in memory of Steve Stiles as recommended
Howeird reviewed the old Star Trek animated series & the quality of the audio was horrible, but they did a pretty decent job on the cast, that 'Yesteryear' was interesting but had huge plot holes - but it is always nice to find something new, Aatheus gives it high marks for the addition of cat aliens [then there were puns]
Aatheus reviewed the KOA campgrounds in Medford, Oregon - as the site was very nice, even if there was no air conditioning & then on Tuesday he needed to flee the fires there & rates it 6 out of 10 & it was, all in all, a pretty good value & the bed was quite comfortable
Rumor of the week = 'Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes - either way we're living in a Bowie son'
we adjourned at 8:41 pm
