the Treasurer reported that we have money: Regular: $15,748.81; Party: $230.58

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ken announced that this Friday is the 4th Friday of the month, so there will be a meeting of the Legion of Rasselon live in person at the Dennie's on Bascom in Milpitas on Abbott Rd, near the 880 freeway, at 7:30pm - & this month we will be watching the final episode of the 13th Doctor – The Power of the Doctor. Be there or be a Dalek... lor.club
Lisa announced that LosCon is happening over the Thanksgiving weekend in LA & announced that that CostumeCon will have a fan table there; check loscon.org for information
Yochanan announced that 3Below Theatre is doing 'Trek or Treat' from Oct 27 until Oct 30; check for details at https://www.3belowtheaters.com; & he announced that the Jewish Film Festival is holding an online series of films - and for more information check Svjff.org
Kennita announced that on Nov 10, Thursday, at noon until 5pm there will be a double feature of 'Black Panther' & 'Wakanda Forever' for $18 at the AMC Mercado & pre-sale tickets are going fast

REVIEWS:
Ken reviewed 'The Power of the Doctor' as it referenced many things from the Doctor's past & he felt it was done well with excellent fan service
Yochanan reviewed 'House of the Dragon' as the finale episode was good & setting up the next season; Rick followed, commenting that medieval society sucks for most of the people, all of the time & that he felt the motivations for the various characters relied too much on 'idiot plots' - however he did enjoy the heck out of it
Yochanan also reviewed the series finale for 'She Hulk' as overall very cute & incredibly over-the-top - full of mindless fun
Kennita reviewed the Sunnyvale library's showing of 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari' as very German & a classic horror film - possibly the first horror film. She felt the plot was a bit odd & that the English placard sub-titles were not on screen long enough to read but it was still worth more than full price to her
