The Party Committee reports that the first BASFA room party of 2024 will be held this weekend, Friday & Saturday at the SJ Marriott at Further Confusion. The theme for the con is '8-bit' & he is looking for themed room decorations

REVIEWS:
Yochanan reviewed the 2nd Aquaman movie, 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' as matinee fare - a big superhero movie, but not much for plot. He rates it as worth popcorn. There were various comments made to the topic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquaman_and_the_Lost_Kingdom
and he reviewed David Brin's book 'Startide Rising' as he enjoyed it so much. He rates it as a total page turner that kept him up reading way too late at night for many nights. He loved it & recommends it highly. see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Startide_Rising
