Reviews
Bill Weekend before last was at Consonance (the filk convention.) Well attended. Tom Boat (Tom Smith & Toy Boat) were there. Had a really good time. Worth full price.
Lisa: Gave her review last week. Thanks to all who showed up. Hope to be back same time next year.
Carole Same weekend as Bill, was in a suburb of Boston for CostumeCon. Had a good time. Some things could have been better. Participated in the masquerade. Shepherded her group through rehearsals. Didn’t win. OK time for her (not sure about paying that much for a trip without Bill.)
DaveC Saw a couple movies. Alita Battle Angel. Very anime based live action. Same plot progression as typical Anime. Worth matinee (would have been better if the bar at the AMC was open). Also, Captain Marvel for the second time. Still greatly appreciated. Worth full price for a second time.
Fred Monet the later years at the De Young museum. Costs a little more than the general admission fee. Worth it. Lot of works assembled from around the world. Well laid out. Glad he went, recommends. Through May 27. deyoung.famsf.org/exhibitions/late-monet
Chris Went by Hiller airport museum, with an exhibit of Wonder Woman’s jet. Great April fools prank.
We had an auction.
Meeting adjourned at: 20:48 and the rumor was: Professionals, artist, booksellers and so on will no longer be able to deduct the price of gasoline or kerosene for traveling to or from conventions.
