REVIEWS:
Gayle reviewed a writer's retreat as it had multiple reservation screw ups and they ended up staying in a motel in Weed, which was a lovely place, except for a non-functional air-conditioner
Carole reviewed 'La Papillion' on Kiely in Saratoga as very nice & they had pleasant gatherings all weekend
Dave C reviewed 'Lovecraft Country' by Matt Ruff as HP Lovecraft meets Jim Crow - a series of connected stories as very well done & worth full price & reviewed Dita Von Teese & the Copper Coupe at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre as a lovely show & well worth full price
Ken reviewed the SF Lesbian Gay Freedom Band Gala as a lovely experience & reviewed the Palo Alto Players performance of 'The Man Who Came to Dinner' as really fun - and they will be performing through July 1 & reviewed getting a camera shoved down his throat as illuminating
Ric reviewed unintentionally attending Pride as the traffic was horrendous & he saw an interesting musical called 'Soft Power' - which is why they were in SF - as conceptionally complex and politically intense
we had auctions
we adjourned at 8:58
Rumor of the week was 'it usually costs more to buy a president'
