Called to order at 8 pm - from here in the corner

we established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1471 were accepted as 'Daves' [both of them]
the Treasurer reported that at meeting 1471, we took in $1.00 in the regular jar & $6.50 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that tickets for the BASFA outing to the Sharks game on Saturday, Nov 3rd will be distributed electronically
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ric announced that there will be a Pecha Kucha on this Thursday, 6-9pm at the SJ Museum of Art for free
Dave C announced that he has SF memorabilia from 1993 to give away - luggage tags
John O announced that SF Tycho is holding their 50th anniversary on Nov 10-11, Saturday 7pm & Sunday 3pm, $45

Ric reviewed a 3Below showing of 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood, the Musical' as very good & recommended, Lisa also enjoyed it - as did Ken; for ticket info = https://www.goldstar.com/events/san-jose-ca/the-mystery-of-edwin-drood-tickets
John O reviewed 'Venom' as not as bad as some say, worth matinee & Ken liked it
[young] Harold reviewed ex-Raid Pokemon Go as a bit inflexible, with a 45 minute window, but fun & useful - John O thinks it's a nice social activity & Ric recommended it
Dave C reviewed Daniel O'Malley's book 'Stiletto' as a follow-up to the book 'Rook', a semi-fantastical series concerning secret societies as it reads quickly & then reviewed Dana Gould's live reading of 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' as it had an impressive cast & was worth full price
Carole reviewed mold removal at their place as noisy & difficult to sleep through
Andy reviewed episode 2 of the new Dr Who as quite good & Lisa also enjoyed it
