The minutes of meeting 1492 were accepted as 'post Columbian'
the Treasurer reported that at meeting 1492 we took in $0.00 in the regular jar & $0.50 in the party jar, while at meeting 1491 we took in $5.15 in the regular jar & $5.25 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
The Sports Committee reported that the Thursday, March 28 SJ Sharks game BASFA outing has been indefinitely postponed due to occurrences in the Treasurer's life - & the Sports Committee subset reported that he, Ken, is taking [$49.00 for tickets] for the BASFA outing to the SJ Giants Star Wars night on May 4, for the Martinelli's plaza
Gerry observed that the BASFA President broke his 'nothing fannish' streak
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Gayle announced that 'Yeoman of the Guard' is playing through this weekend at the SJ City College Auditorium
Vikas announced that there is a talk at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience at the Walnut Creek about sending a micro-spacecraft to AlphaC & announced that this Wednesday is a talk about 'Astronomy on Top' at the Uproar Brewing Company in SJ that he'll be helping with
Dave G announced that his employer is letting him go as of May 22 - so he is looking for a job now & announced that Spring is planning to retire at the end of the school year
Ken announced that this Saturday at 7pm the Psychotronic Film Festival will be showing at Foothill College in room 5015 - urging us to get there early to get a seat & the donation is $5.00 to attend along with a non-donation of $3.00 for parking
Gerry announced that Space Access 2019 is coming up, April 18-21 at the Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley & the price for pre-reg goes up mid-week
REVIEWS:
The secretary reviewed 'Captain Marvel' as a fun movie, worth full price & the cat was the best part, then Kennita followed, saying it was only okay & Trey also enjoyed it, thought it worth full price & his favorite part was the costume montage
Lisa reviewed the Sunnyvale Vet Hospital cat clinic as it gave excellent care for their kitty & she recommends it
Kennita reviewed Consonance as well-attended, with an excellent con suite, great music, Dead Dog was fun & she had a great time, Lisa followed on that she found it enjoyable & worth working for again
Gerry reviewed 'Yeoman of the Guard' as very well done, very well sung & he likes the venue
Dave C reviewed visiting 'Off the Rails Brewing Company' as it gave him great gastric distress from Saturday morning onward & he fulsomely suffered all day but WANTED to review Oxyclean as being -wonderful!- for cleaning up all the after effects
Vikas reviewed the Seti presentation on exoplanets in VR at the SJ Museum of the Arts as really well done & then reviewed a book - 'The Last Man Who Knew Everything' about Fermi, was really good & well-written
