there was no Treasurer
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report - but we did say 'hi' to John, visiting us for the first time, who is new to the area and found us through Meet-Up
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ken announced that this Friday is the monthly meeting of the Legion of Rassilon at the Denny's on Bascom in Campbell at 7:30pm
Chris announced that long-time fan Terri Terry has been in the hospital, but is back home now, recuperating from heart problems and restricted from caffeine
REVIEWS:
Baycon was reviewed in glowing terms - everyone who went enjoyed themselves, the filk was superb, programming was excellent, high marks over-all, however the never-ending renovation of the hotel was a trial to endure & the hotel room amenities are crap, with no drawer-space at all
Young Harold reviewed Fanime as he had a great time there, Pre-reg worked well & they had taiko drummers there, he recommends the con
Ken reviewed visiting Washington DC for a niece's graduation as they stayed at the Watergate hotel, which was very nice, biked around for a day, the graduation was pleasant & they saw 'Shear Maddness' which was great fun & he's glad he went, worth full price
Lisa reviewed the California Theatre as looking good & that Professor Brian Cox was interesting & his talk is light on science but he's adorable
Fred reviewed the Hugo voting packet as well-organized this year
Trey commented that our regular server is moving on to a job in keeping with her career goals & will likely only be with us another week
We did auctions
we adjourned at 8:39
Rumor of the week was 'The Marriott - Eschering in a new age'
