We established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1519 were accepted as 'the best news from the internet'
the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $21.75 in the regular jar & $22.75 in the party jar
the VP had nothing fannish to report
the President had nothing fannish to report
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Dave C announced that he got paid for being sideswiped by the Amazon van
REVIEWS:
John O reviewed 'Ad Astra' in IMAX as the gravity was pretty, no matter HOW bad the plot was, the main character was unlikable & belief could not be suspended - highly -not- recommended; Chris O also did not like it, various other folk also did not like it, Gerry punned 'Bad Astra'
Dave C reviewed 'The Coldest War' by Ian Tregillis as the 2nd in a trilogy [book 1 = 'Bitter Seeds', book 3 = 'Necessary Evil'] as it's a fairly good read
[evil] Kevin reviewed 'Fetch' by Dave O'Neill as also a 2nd book in a series, fun and highly recommended
Fred reviewed 'Radicalization' by Cory Doctorow as a book of 4 novellas and he enjoyed it
