Called to order at 8 pm - with extra bacon
15 people attended

We established a party jar [with a vote of '8 to Daves']

The minutes of meeting 1521 were accepted as 'BASFA learns how to spell Gandhi'

the Treasurer reported that last week we took in $0 in the regular jar & $6.00 in the party jar

the VP had nothing fannish to report

the President requested a contact phone number for the Black Bear to us, since JC has moved - Ken and Dave G and Geri all volunteered

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ken announced that this Sunday is KFJC's 60th birthday & there will be all manner of festivities & he does a show from noon till 3pm, that may possibly be delayed & announced that he has a message from Bob Johnson, who does Planet 8 podcast on Oct 20 will do a listener party at 7 Star Bar on Bascom in SJ from 1-4pm, check planet8podcast.blogspot.com & announced that the original player for Marvin the Paranoid android died

Gerry announced that Alexei Leonov had died

REVIEWS:
Gerry reviewed the Santa Clara Library Comic Con & everyone got along - lots of kids and adults. It was pleasant, so a successful day; Lisa followed that there were some interesting panels, a nice Artist Alley & Dealer's Room & she'll go again next year
