Called to order at 8 pm

We established a party jar
The minutes of meeting 1529 were accepted as 'removing the last bastion'
the Treasurer was missing & there was no report
the VP was not present [but we were warned]
the President had nothing fannish to report
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Harold the Younger announced that the animated short film 'Hair Love' is now available on Youtube
Dave C announced that he has copies of 'A Very Scalzi Christmas' & will sell them to anyone interested
There was advice given to register for Costume Con soon
REVIEWS:
Tom reviewed a book, 'Stealing Worlds' by Karl Schroeder as set in the near future with lots of VR involvement, very good characters & he highly recommends it - and that it seems to be a stand-alone novel
Fred reviewed that the Oakland Museum of California has a Burning Man exhibit there now & that there may be a video about it online, with additional interviews
Loscon was reviewed by several = Dave C said 'a great time was had by all' - even the Dealers - & he really liked that Howard Waldrop was Writer GoH; that he got to see Waldrop do a reading & learned he will have a new book out soon through Subterranean Press; it was reported that locusts hit the ice cram social, Lisa said the Masquerade was a Masquerade Ball, so she didn't stay for it; then Dave C reviewed the rental he had - a Dodge Journey - as a 'remarkable' vehicle that gave a very bouncy ride until it was filled with books & his first and last experience with a Dodge Journey
Lisa reviewed Dickens Faire as nice - good food, good entertainment & it was very comfortable inside the Cow Palace [https://dickensfair.com/]
Andy reviewed SMOFcon as it was held in beautiful downtown Albuquerque - they stayed at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, that the con program was 'pretty excellent' & that he had all 4 of his panels on Saturday, which was pretty brutal & commented that many of the Worldcon bid presentations still need some work
there were no auctions
we adjourned at 8:41
